Sandstone broadcast students nationally recognized
Two Sandstone Middle School students, Layliani Contreras and Emily Nava Munguia, teamed up in the creation of an SMSTV Penny War Promo video. The duo earned third place in the Middle School School Promo category for the Student Television Network Fall Nationals competition.
Contreras and Nava Munguia produced a creative video that promoted an aspect of their school, which could have been a club, team, event, group, or class. The students had creative license to produce a video with actors, live action, or made purely of graphics and effects, but it could be longer than 60 seconds.
Each entry to this challenge was scored and critiqued by a professional offering their expert opinion based on years of work experience in the TV/Film industry. These SMS students will receive a third-place plaque in addition to national recognition for their accomplishments.
