Born and raised in Hermiston, Maryanna Hardin is a true hometown hero returning to serve her community. A proud graduate of Hermiston High School, Maryanna's journey has come full circle as she steps into her role as Chief Communications Officer at the Hermiston School District Office.

With a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Oregon University and a Master's Degree in Strategic Communications from Liberty University, Maryanna brings a unique blend...

Having worked in education throughout her entire career, she not only understands but embodies the district's core values and commitment to being future-focused. Her dedication to public education goes beyond a job; it is a profound part of her life.

Maryanna spent two years teaching at West Park Elementary School. Her passion for education and innovation led her to the Kennewick School District's IT Department, where she honed her skills and gained invaluable insights into the combination of communication and innovation.

Maryanna Hardin's goal as Chief Communications Officer is to enhance transparency and engagement within the Hermiston School District community by implementing a comprehensive communication strategy. By prioritizing clear, timely, and accessible communication, Maryanna aims to strengthen relationships, build trust, and ultimately enhance the overall experience for students and families within the Hermiston School District.
